Partial renovation

Façade renovation in Gran Canaria

In Gran Canaria a façade does not fail because of rain. It fails because of salt. Along the whole coast, chlorides carried in the sea breeze soak into the render and corrode the steel inside the concrete from within. By the time the rust stain appears, the damage is years old.

That is why cutting back matters more than the paint. Painting over a sick substrate is money you will spend again within two years.

03Questions

Frequently asked

We are a community of owners. How does that work?
An itemised quote you can take to the owners' meeting, plus all the insurance and safety documentation your administrator needs. That paperwork is what usually stalls these jobs, and we have it ready.
How often does a coastal façade need doing?
On the front line, every 8 to 12 years. Further inland it stretches considerably. What you do not want is to wait until pieces start falling.
